The Color
of Sound
At Timbre Theory Studios, we teach the color of sound. A piano and a guitar can play the exact same note, but they sound completely different. That 'difference' is the timbre (pronounced TAM-ber or TIM-ber).
We help students master their instrument’s unique color so they don’t just play music—they bring it to life.

Two Decades of Playing, A Passion for Teaching
I started piano lessons at age 6, then went on to study violin in school before switching to string bass. As my understanding of music grew, I taught myself guitar, electric guitar, and electric bass. I’ve been playing music for over 20 years and for most of those years, before moving to Florida, I played regularly with my local church. Music has been a constant in my life, and I’m truly excited to share that passion with my students and help them grow as a musician.
